La trama de la telenovela se centra en Lorena Martínez, una joven encarcelada tras ser falsamente acusada de planear un asesinato.
Ya en prisión, ella conoce a Lisset, Frida y Montse, quienes la suman al plan de fuga masiva que llevan a cabo durante la celebración de fin de año en el penal.
Así, las cuatro logran escapar y se refugian en el bar “El Oasis”, propiedad de Darío, hijo de Martha (una exconvicta amiga de las fugitivas), quien las protegerá y oculta su verdadera identidad.
Entonces, mientras está libre, Lorena buscará probar su inocencia con la ayuda de Alejandro, un abogado que cree firmemente en ella y quien, en el proceso por apoyarla, termina enamorándose.
De esta manera, demostrar su inocencia, recuperar su libertad y encontrarse con el verdadero amor será un camino largo para nuestra protagonista.
