Police have delivered a major update in their investigation into the death of a young boy, who died in the foyer of a police station following a horrific crash.

The mother and father of a three-year-old boy who died in a police station following a horrific car crash have been charged with manslaughter.
Bodycam footage released by police on Friday captures the moment Aneshia Daisy Case, 23, is handcuffed by a detective from the police’s Child Trauma Unit.
It follows a four-month investigation into the bizarre death which rocked Queensland.
Caden Case, three, was rushed to the Beenleigh Police Station by a member of the public, along with his mother then aged 22, following a car crash that occurred about 5am on October 25 last year.

Caden allegedly suffered critical head injuries and was pronounced dead at the station.
Police allegedly found the father Samuel Ian Paterson, 24, and a one-year-old boy at a Beenleigh home about 90 minutes later.
They took the boy to hospital for further assessment where he was later cleared.
Specialist police units and officers from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit formed Operation Xray Grid and conducted a four-month investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Ms Case, who is now 23-years old, has been charged with manslaughter domestic violence against a child, trafficking dangerous drugs, driving without a proper driver’s licence and possessing anything used in the commission of a crime.
