Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have made another surprise joint appearance in the wake of their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s long-awaited fall from grace. Stepping out for King Charles’s annual Christmas lunch, the two sisters were all smiles despite what has been a rocky end to 2025 for their parents, the former Duke and Duchess of York.

Aside from being uninvited to his brother’s Christmas lunch, ex-Prince Andrew will also be absent from the royal family’s annual holiday gathering at Sandringham. The disgraced royal was stripped of his remaining titles and privileges in early November following new revelations about his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

As for where Andrew plans to spend Christmas this year? It appears he will remain at Royal Lodge, despite plans for his eviction. “He has a large house where he has lived for a long time and he will be moving into a more modest house so, logically, it won’t happen this side of Christmas,” a source told The Sun with regard to his relocation. Sarah Ferguson has meanwhile decided to “forge an independent life” and move to a separate property without her ex-husband.

Beatrice and Eugenie are the former couple’s only children. Amid their parents’s downfall, King Charles reportedly “feels quite responsible” for the two sisters—so much so that he may give them even more prominent royal duties.

“[Charles] is determined to embrace his nieces,” royal expert Ingrid Seward recently told The Sun, adding that he wants to “bring them into the royal fold in a way where they don’t feel they’re just being gratuitously pulled in, but they’re actually doing something for it.”
