Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan’s death at the age of 34 was due to a drug overdose involving fentanyl, according to reports.
As detailed by Newsweek and other reports, Quan — born Dequantes Lamar — died on Sept. 5, news that shocked many in the hip-hop community.
At the time, some suspected Quan died of a drug overdose, a prediction that turned out to be accurate.
The “Flex (Ooh, ooh, ooh)” hitmaker also had THC in his system, though that was not what killed him.
Quan joins multiple rappers and other musicians felled by fentanyl in recent years, including Prince, Tom Petty, Mac Miller and Lil Peep.
