ITV The Masked Singer fans raise concerns as major star missing from grand final: “What serious problem is he facing?”

The Masked Singer fans flocked to social media to express their concerns as a major star was missing from the grand final on Saturday night

The Masked Singer’s 2025 grand final arrived, but it was without one of its key figures – comedian and judge Mo Gilligan.

Notably absent from this Saturday’s episode (15th February), fans were puzzled as Mo had featured in almost every other episode of the season.

Danny Jones of McFly fame stepped in to join panel regulars Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Maya Jama, while host Joel Dommett resumed his role.

Viewers flocked to X (formerly known as Twitter) during the live episode to voice their confusion. “Where is Mo on masked singer he’s not even been mentioned????” tweeted one perplexed fan, while another directly asked, “Where did Mo go from the Masked Singer??”

Others expressed their concerns but also their appreciation for Danny: “Not complaining because I love Danny but where is Mo?… #maskedsingeruk,” read one comment, with another adding, “Although thats weird, mo gililgan, where is he. done all the series and missed the final 2 episodes #MaskedSingerUK,”.

As comments poured in throughout the 7pm airing, no explanation was given by host Joel who, like the previous week when actor Richard E Grant filled in, did not elaborate on Mo’s absence.

Nevertheless, there’s no cause for worry among fans; Mo’s no-show is due to clashes in scheduling rather than any health or serious issues.

He has been busy in the US for the past few weeks on The Moment World Tour.
