The 35-year-old, who played for the Miami Heat from 2014 to 2019, averaged a double-double in his first season with the team.

In the 2010 NBA draft, Whiteside was a second-round pick out of Marshall by the Sacramento Kings. He has also suited up for the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, and most recently, the Utah Jazz. He retired in 2024 after playing professionally in Puerto Rico during the 2023 season.

According to property records, the home is owned by a trust with Joseph McLean listed as the trustee. McLean is a well-known wealth manager to professional athletes, including Whiteside, who several years ago handled at least $2 billion in assets for several athletes.

The trust bought this house in 2016 for $7.3 million.
