Emergency crews were called to Towpath Walk on Monday evening after reports of a large group gathering in the area, with witnesses telling police that some people appeared to be carrying machetes. Moments later, the teenager was found suffering from stab injuries in nearby Poplar Close.

Despite desperate efforts from paramedics — including treatment at the scene by both land and air ambulance crews — he could not be saved.

Police later identified the victim as 15-year-old Brayan David Saldarriaga, whose death has sent shockwaves through the local community.

According to investigators, the violence broke out after a gathering believed to be linked to a house party spilled into the street. Residents reported hearing shouting, panic, and seeing crowds running as chaos unfolded.
