CHERYL has appeared on television for the first time since Liam Payne’s death as she made rare comments about their son Bear.

The Girls Aloud star – who gave birth to Bear in 2017 – has always been extremely private about her only child with the late One Direction singer.

But in a new chat with This Morning’s Ben Shephard, Cheryl says how she and her bandmates “became a bit cooler” with their children who joined them on their reunion tour earlier this year.

Cheryl, 41, recorded the TV interview alongside Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh – just days before Liam’s tragic death on October 16th.

Called The Girls Aloud Show: The Interview, the special is now available on ITVX ahead of their live show at the O2 in London being broadcast on ITV1 this Sunday at 8pm.

Liam tragically died aged just 31 in Buenos Aires, Argentina after falling from his third floor hotel balcony.

The Sun revealed how his funeral date has been set after his dad Geoff accompanied his body on the flight back into London Heathrow.

In an emotional statement, Cheryl previously said: “As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I’d like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being.

“Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son.

“A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again.”
