Snoop Dogg‘s grandson tragically passed away last week, 10 days after his birth.

And now the rapper’s son and father of the child, Corde Broadus, has thanked his followers for their support while explaining he had found peace with the situation.

The 25-year-old took to social media on Saturday to say his child ‘did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on earth.’ He accompanied his words with a selection of new photos, taken days before his son’s birth, at his daughter’s first birthday party.

Corde continued to explain that his partner Soraya was doing well following the tragic loss.

The video appeared to show his late son being cradled by his mother in the neonatal intensive care unit while Eleven gives her baby brother a tender kiss.

Loved ones are heard in the background choking back tears and sweetly talking to the toddler and infant.

In the caption, Corde wrote: ‘Kai Love 9/15/19 – 9/25/19’

‘My Son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world. His energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special to us.
