According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner, Bianca Huntley, 34, died from a “gunshot wound involving the left arm and torso”

A pregnant mother of two was found shot in her vehicle along a Georgia highway during rush hour.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, to a report of a person shot along the northbound lanes of I-75 near North Central Avenue SW, near the Atlanta airport. Police said the female driver was the victim of “an apparent gunshot wound.”

The woman, who was later identified by the medical examiner as 34-year-old Bianca Huntley, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she died.

Atlanta police said the “preliminary investigation indicates the victim may have sustained her injuries at a separate and currently unknown location,” per a news release.

According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner, Huntley died from a “gunshot wound involving the left arm and torso.”

The manner of death is homicide.

“She was my baby…” Huntley’s mother, Gloria Allen, told WXIA. “You’re talking about a light, a shining light that got snuffed out.”

Allen said the mother of two daughters, 14, and 5, moved to Atlanta from North Carolina around nine years earlier, and was working as a quality manager, WXIA reported.

“She had just gotten a promotion,” Allen said, per WXIA. “She was in the process of hiring a team when her life was tragically ended.”

Allen told the outlet her daughter was on her way home from work.

She believes her daughter was targeted.

“I’m a woman of faith. Vengeance belongs to God ,but my daughter will be vindicated,” she said, per WXIA.
