They made it to the final of Love Island 2025 after a rocky villa experience

It is beyond wild to think that this time last year we had no idea who Love Island’s Shakira Khan was. Not even this time last year; you might’ve even booked the children’s entertainer for your kid’s Disney princess party (or yours, no judgment) and had ZERO clue you’d just hired a future star.

In December 2025, the former marketing engineer is a Love Island 2025 finalist, has a Love Island boyfriend (more on that in a minute), has two superstar Love Island besties who are collectively changing the game (Toni Laites and Yasmin Pettet, obv), has been snapped up by Oh Polly and is basically one of the biggest British television personalities slaying the scene right now.

As such, we’re naturally following Shakira’s professional and personal movements quite closely here at heat Towers, and we’ve recently learned that she and Harry Cooksley are about to take a major step forward in their relationship – one that we know will leave some of you shook, ‘cause we’re still right there.

And for good reason…

Shakira recently answered fan questions in an Instagram Q&A and causally let slip that her and Harry are moving in together. Shook.

We’re obviously happy for our girl, but we’re still a little shook considering Harry’s wild movements in the villa just a few months ago; how he made her cry on more than one occasion and how Shakira’s mum Sukina was clearly not a fan when she came face to face with him in the villa.

But, to be fair, Shakira and Harry have been able to work on the relationship in private for several months now and we’re seeing nothing but gold star supportive boyfriend behaviour from Harry on socials, so maybe the teething and head-turning problems are FINALLY over and we’ve got a pair of forever Islanders on our hands.

What happened with Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley on Love Island?

At the beginning of her Love Island journey, Shakira found herself up against Helena Ford who had an ‘undeniable connection’ with Harry. The footballer spent half of his time whispering sweet nothings in Shakira’s ear whilst flirting with Helena behind her back. Harry and Helena soon became a thing, living Shakira rattled.

On day 19, Harry decided to couple up with Shakira again but despite claiming he was all for her, he still made eyes at Helena and was even caught whispering spicy things in her ear during the heart rate challenge. Shakira found out the next day.

Shakira confronted Harry and decided to take a step back from the relationship.

Shakira then struck up a connection with Ty Isherwood in Casa Amor and chose to bring him back to the main villa. A few days later they were picked, by the viewers, as ‘the most compatible’ couple.

Despite this, Shakira realised she had a better connection with Conor Phillips and told Ty that she wanted to get to know the Irish Islander.

At the next recoupling, Shakira chose to match with Conor, but we’ll be honest, it was a short-lived romance as she still felt like there was unfinished between her and Harry. Around this time, Harry had just decided to go ‘exclusive’ with Helena, however, when Shakira admitted her feelings for him hadn’t completely disappeared, the footballer confessed he felt the same.

And the rest, as they say, is history, but not before Harry was dubbed the ‘villain’ of the series for putting Shakira through the ringer in the villa.
