Following the recent departures of staff members in Camp Sussex, a damning report by the Hollywood Reporter claims ,Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex”belittles” and “terrifies” people.

The report states, Meghan Markle has also been dubbed “Duchess Difficult” by her staff members amid further claims she “doesn’t take advice”.

The publication reported allegations that Meghan “marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders”, adding: “I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears”.

The new allegations form part of a study into an exodus of staff who had worked for the Sussexes, including the couple’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler – who resigned from his role in August after three months.

The claims also come as Prince Harry is set to celebrate his 40th birthday on September 15, with a separate source suggesting he was feeling increasingly lonely in the US and considers his security guard David Langdown his best friend.

While Kettler had been hired on a trial basis when he took up the role with Harry and Meghan, US magazine People reported that the “decision to part ways was mutual, with both sides agreeing it wasn’t the right fit”. His departure has also highlighted the problems Harry and Meghan have had when it comes to staff retention.

Kettler joined a growing list of former employees, including Toya Holness, their global press secretary until 2022, and Christine Weil Schirmer, their head of PR who left in 2021.

Other notable exits include Catherine St-Laurent, who led their charity, Archewell, for a year, and Mandana Dayani, Archewell’s COO. Even Ben Browning, who secured the Netflix deal for their documentary, and marketing chief Fara Taylor have moved on.

While the pair have tried to cultivate a positive image, focusing on gratitude and self-help, their management style has reportedly caused significant friction behind the scenes.

The Hollywood Reporter went on to reveal Meghan’s “noisy tantrums” and “angry 5 am emails” that earned her the nickname “Duchess Difficult”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made headlines in 2020 with their bombshell exit from royal duties, opting for an independent life across the pond in America and recently embarking on ‘faux-royal’ tours around the world.

Despite Harry recently stating his offspring were the “best gifts” he’s had, there appears to be growing speculation about the prince’s dissatisfaction with his shift from Britain.

A purported insider close to the Sussex pair divulged to the Sun: “Harry is feeling more and more isolated in California, which is why he has been reconnecting with old friends back home. The Colombia trip also really highlighted how Meghan is comfortable stepping into the spotlight, while Harry cuts a very sulky, unhappy figure in the background.”
