Luke Combs Performed At The Star-Studded Opry 100 Event On March 19
Country star and Grand Ole Opry member Luke Combs took part in the epic Opry 100 live televised special, honoring the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry.
The special aired on Wednesday night (March 19) and was hosted by Blake Shelton.

Legendary performers include Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, Ricky Skaggs, Trace Adkins, Clint Black, Travis Tritt, and Vince Gill. Other performers include the likes of Jamey Johnson, Dierks Bentley, Carly Pearce, Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, and so many more.
Luke Performs Breakout Hit “Hurricane” & “The Grand Tour” At Opry 100
Luke Combs broke out on the scene in 2016 thanks to his debut single “Hurricane.” To date, the song has sold over 9,000,000 copies and is certified 9x Platinum. Watch him perform “Hurricane” back in 2017.
While the Opry 100 live event took place at the Grand Old Opry House, there were several artists who did pre-recorded performances at the historic Ryman Auditorium, where the Grand Ole Opry was born.
After performing “The Grand Tour,” the classic George Jones song, Combs introduced his debut country hit, which he performed at his Opry debut nine years ago.
Luke’s History With The Grand Ole Opry
Combs made his Grand Ole Opry debut on October 26, 2016, where he performed a cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” and his own hit, “Hurricane.” 16 appearances later, he was asked to become a member less than three years after his debut. That has to be some sort of record!
Luke Combs was performing for at the Opry on June 11, 2019 when he was joined on stage by Chris Janson, John Conlee, and Craig Morgan. They asked him the coveted question, “Would you like to be the next member of the Grand Ole Opry?”
He was officially inducted about a month later on July 16, 2019.
