“MOST FAMILIES WOULD NEVER DO THIS TO THEIR KIDS…” Prince George, Princess Charlotte & Prince Louis’ BIZARRE Holiday Traditions Finally Revealed and Stun Royal Fans

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ bizarre Christmas traditions revealedGeorge, Charlotte and Louis

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, like many other children, are believed to be big fans of Christmas. In addition to receiving numerous presents, the three royal children also get to spend quality time with their nearest and dearest, including their grandfather, King Charles, who has an incredibly busy schedule.

While Prince William and Princess Catherine’s children may enjoy a royal Christmas, the actual foundation of their day is not too dissimilar from other children across the UK, with presents, a Christmas lunch, and a good dog walk or two. However, there are also some bizarre Christmas traditions that George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven, take part in.

Presents on Christmas Eve

While most children in the UK open their Christmas presents on Christmas Day, this is not always the case for the royal children. This is because the Royal Family still carry on the German tradition of opening presents on Christmas Eve.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady once explained: “The royals are of German descent, so they weave in German traditions to their celebrations. After afternoon tea, they open gifts on Christmas Eve, as is the German tradition.”

While this may be the case, it is believed William and Kate still treat the three children to presents on Christmas Day. It is rarely disclosed what presents they receive.

Eating away from their parents

While this is not thought to be the case anymore now that the three children are older, it is believed that they did once eat Christmas lunch away from their parents.

At Sandringham, children were often given their own table to enjoy Christmas dinner until they were old enough to behave properly at the dining table.

As the children are now all over the age of seven, it is believed they eat at the same grown-ups’ table as their parents and other royal relatives.

Christmas walkabout

Another bizarre tradition George, Charlotte and Louis take part in on Christmas Day is a public walkabout where they meet members of the public, receive gifts and exchange handshakes.

This walkabout happens after the children, along with their royal relatives, attend church on the Sandringham Estate.

The children often look pleased to take part in the walkabout, which sees them flocked with gifts and chocolates.

Prince William and Princess Catherine’s children have some unusual Christmas traditions.
