Jack Osbourne has joyfully welcomed a new baby daughter with his wife, Aree Earhart, and revealed that the little girl’s name carries a deeply emotional tribute to his late father, the legendary rock star Ozzy Osbourne.
The former MTV reality television star, now 40 years old, confirmed the happy news in a heartfelt post on Instagram. In the announcement, Jack shared a touching image of his newborn daughter sleeping peacefully. The baby lay beside a plush bat toy and a small badge that read “Hello World,” adding a playful and symbolic touch that many fans connected to Ozzy’s famous bat-related rock lore.

Jack revealed that his daughter’s name is Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, a sweet and meaningful homage to his father, who passed away in July at the age of 76. The name immediately resonated with fans, many of whom saw it as a loving way to honor the rock legend’s legacy while welcoming a new generation into the family.
In the caption accompanying the post, Jack wrote simply but lovingly: “She’s here and she’s perfect.” A decorative sticker in the post indicated that baby Ozzy Matilda was born on March 5, just before 9 a.m.
The announcement quickly sparked a wave of congratulations from fans and supporters around the world. Many people were deeply moved by the choice of name and the timing of the birth, coming less than a year after the death of Ozzy Osbourne.
One fan commented enthusiastically, “Amazing, we have another Ozzy Osbourne! The world just got better.” Another wrote, “Oh my goodness, congratulations! I love her name so much—Ozzy must be smiling.” A third admirer added, “The most perfect name she could possibly have! Congratulations to everyone. I’m sure her arrival is exactly what everyone’s heart needed.”
For Jack and Aree, the birth of their daughter carries even more emotional significance because Ozzy Osbourne knew about the pregnancy before he passed away. The legendary heavy metal icon had been told that he would soon become a grandfather again, a piece of joyful news that brought comfort to the family during a difficult time.
Jack had previously spoken openly about how the pregnancy helped bring hope and healing while he was mourning the loss of his father. The couple first publicly shared the news of the pregnancy in December, explaining that the upcoming arrival was something the entire family had been looking forward to.
Jack is already the father of three daughters from a previous marriage. With Aree, he also shares a three-year-old daughter named Maple, making baby Ozzy Matilda the newest addition to an already lively and loving household.

Speaking earlier about the pregnancy in an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, Jack explained how much the news meant to him and his family after an emotionally difficult year.
“It’s wonderful,” he said at the time. “I think part of it is a healthy distraction, part of it is healing—maybe even a sort of ‘full circle’ moment in a strange way.”
He explained that the pregnancy helped shift the family’s focus away from grief and toward a more hopeful outlook for the future.
“It’s helped soften the sadness and replace it with more optimism,” he said. “For me it’s been easier, but I think my wife has had a tougher time.”
Jack also revealed that the couple had planned to expand their family, although the pregnancy happened slightly earlier than they had expected.
“We’re incredibly excited,” he said. “To be fair, it was planned. Maybe a little sooner than anticipated. But it was definitely something we wanted to pursue, and somehow it happened—almost magically.”
The final months of Ozzy Osbourne’s life were marked by both celebration and reflection. The iconic heavy metal star, best known as the frontman of Black Sabbath, held a farewell concert at Villa Park stadium in his hometown of Birmingham last July.
During the charity concert, Ozzy reunited on stage with all the classic members of Black Sabbath, including Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward. Together they performed several of the band’s most famous songs, concluding the performance with a powerful rendition of their classic track “Paranoid.”
In what would become one of his final interviews, Ozzy said that the farewell performance meant “everything” to him. It was a moment that allowed him to reconnect with fans and celebrate his extraordinary musical legacy.

Following his father’s passing, Jack continued to honor Ozzy’s spirit in his own way. He even entered the jungle on the reality show I’m a Celebrity, partly as a tribute to his father and partly to carry forward Ozzy’s well-known attitude of resilience and humor.
Ozzy had always been famous not only for his groundbreaking music but also for his wild rock-and-roll persona, including the infamous incident in which he bit the head off a bat during a concert—an event that became one of the most legendary moments in rock history.
Jack spent 21 days in the jungle and became a popular and well-liked figure among the other contestants in the camp.
Reflecting on his father’s passing after Ozzy’s six-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Jack said the experience had profoundly changed how he viewed their relationship. Losing his father made him appreciate every memory they shared together.
Now, with the arrival of baby Ozzy Matilda, Jack has found a new source of joy and hope. The birth of his daughter not only brings happiness to the Osbourne family but also serves as a touching reminder of the enduring legacy of the man whose name she proudly carries.
