Next year, 2025, looks set to be one full of chilling scientific discoveries and deadly natural disasters, according to blind mystic Baba Vanga.

The Bulgarian healer is already thought to have foretold some of history’s most shocking events – including the death of Princess Diana, 9/11 and the Earth’s growing climate crisis. Vanga, whose real name is Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, rose to fame in Eastern Europe in the mid-twentieth century for her alleged powers of precognition.

She was born in 1911 and lost her sight when she was just 12 years old after a storm tore through her village, giving her powers to see into the future, she claimed. Also known as the “Balkan Nostradamus”, Vanga penned her premonitions up to the year 5079 before she died in 1996.

While some interpretations of her predictions have been disputed, the blind mystic has garnered a cult following by fans who are adamant she had the unique power to see far into the future. Here is what Baba Vanga predicts will happen in 2025.

We’ll finally meet aliens

Aliens have been the subject of ongoing debate for centuries, but 2025 will be the year that humans finally encounter the extraterrestrial creatures, according to Baba Vanga. The mystic believes the meeting will happen under odd circumstances – with the first introduction predicted to take place during a major sporting event.

Mind reading

Of the many scientific discoveries to be made next year, researchers will unearth the secrets of mind reading as they make further advancements in unpicking the inner workings of the human mind, Vanga believes. This will bring forth the possibility for people to communicate with one another using nothing but their brainwaves.

Natural disasters

After an already tumultuous 2024 full of storms, hurricanes, floods and wildfires, Vanga says destructive earthquakes and natural disasters would devastate areas across the globe in 2025, with specific mention of an earthquake along the west coast of the US. The mystic predicts these events will see a loss of human life, as well as mass displacement and destroyed infrastructure.

We may become immortal

Scientists will finally crack the code on how to make humans keep living in 2025, Vanga believes. While scientists have already figured out how to grow tissues in labs, the mystic predicts lab-grown organs will also become reality next year, which would revolutionise transplants and potentially extend or save human life. Vanga also says there will be progress in cancer treatment, and possibly even a cure, by 2025.

New sporting record for Lewis Hamilton

Baba Vanga predicts Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, who is due to transfer to Ferrari after 12 years with Mercedes, will lead Ferrari to its first championship victory since 2007. The psychic believes he’ll steal the win in a dramatic final battle against rival Max Verstappen. The victory would make him the most successful driver in Formula 1 history, awarding him his eighth World Championship.
