As King Charles’s youngest son, Prince Harry, gears up for his 40th milestone birthday tomorrow, a friend has revealed how he finds his new life in the US with his family.

The Duke of Sussex eventually relocated to Montecito, California where he lives with his wife, Meghan Markle, and two young children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, after stepping down as working royal in 2020.

Speaking about his new life in America, ahead of his birthday, a source described as someone who speaks to the California-based royal fairly regularly gave a five-word verdict to the Daily Mail: “I do think he’s happy.”

They further explained: “His life now is in Montecito with his wife and children. He’s always full of the joys of the life he has in California.”

However, the friend also revealed Harry has various “touch points” and connections with the UK. They added: “He has various touch points in the UK, a handful of charities such as WellChild, and the Invictus Games which will come to Birmingham in a few years time.”

“There will be more reasons and requirements [for him] to visit and the easier that can be done, the better. It’s not a satisfactory situation at the moment, for all sorts of reasons.”

Harry believes that he is currently unable to bring his wife, Meghan, or their two children to the UK because of safety concerns. His lawyers argue he’s been treated unfairly by the changes to his police protection. The Prince received full publicly funded protection in the UK before stepping back as a working royal.
