Kendrick Lamar will be making a major statement at the 2025 Super Bowl if he performs his hit Drake diss song Not Like Us like he plans to for his set the football event next month
Kendrick Lamar plans to stick it to Drake during his upcoming Super Bowl halftime show.
During his Super Bowl set, the Compton-bred rapper will reportedly perform Not Like Us, his mega-hit diss record against rival hip-hop star Drake. Over the summer the song exploded, achieving meteoric success and becoming the most talked about song amid their diss song exchange that began when their feud was reignited last year.
Drake was so offended by Not Like Us and its popularity he sued Kendrick’s record label Universal Music Group over the record, which accused him of being a pedophile and a “colonizer.”
However, close sources to the Humble rapper reveal that the lawsuit won’t keep him from performing Not Like Us in New Orleans next month. Especially given that the Canadian superstar has no legal basis to keep Kendrick from performing the track.

In the controversial defamation lawsuit that Drake filed earlier this month, he accused UMG of spreading the “false and malicious narrative” that he is a pedophile, TMZ reported. The self-proclaimed Champagne Papi noted in court documents that UMG was aware Kendrick’s diss track would have lyrics and images in a music video that alluded to him being a pedophile.
Additionally, Drake alleged that UMG allowed the “inflammatory and shocking allegations” because the song was a “gold mine” for the company. While the lawsuit isn’t personally against Kendrick, it claims that UMG paid a third party to use AI to increase Not Like Us’ streams by about 30 million.
Drake also mentioned the Super Bowl performance in the lawsuit. He claimed UMG wanted Kendrick to land the coveted gig so the song could be launched on “one of the most significant (and viewed) cultural events of the year.”
UMG has responded to Drake’s lawsuit, shooting down the accusation that the company was trying to sabotage one of its own artists, such as Drake, who’s also under UMG.
“Not only are these claims untrue, but the notion that we would seek to harm the reputation of any artist — let alone Drake — is illogical,” UMG said.
Lamar’s Super Bowl performance is slated for February 9. At this year’s Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will be competing against each other.
