First airing on ITV in 2012, A Mother’s Son sees mother Rosie’s (Hermione Norris) beautiful family life with husband Ben (Martin Clunes) and their four children disintegrate when she begins to suspect her son Jamie (Alexander Arnold) is hiding a dark secret. She faces the dilemma no parents want to suffer when she finds blood-strained trainers in Jamie’s room, believing he could be behind the murder of a local schoolgirl days earlier. Her death is being investigated by officers D.C.
