There were some questions about Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce but they have now all been answered.
Some wondered leading up to the Super Bowl and in the last few weeks after it whether Kelce would return for another year. He made it known that he was going to take some time to decide and he has. Chiefs general manager Brett Veach made it sound like Kelce would be returning when speaking to the media on Tuesday.
Pat McAfee spoke with Kelce and shared a message from the Chiefs superstar on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday confirming the fact.
“My dog!!!,” Kelce said. “I’m coming back for sure. Going to try to get to the best shape I’ve been in this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”
That’s seven exclamation points, McAfee made sure to point that out. If there was even a question about Kelce’s future, there certainly isn’t anymore. The Chiefs have been fortunate to have him and now it seems like they will have at least one more run together as they look to avenge the Super Bowl LIX loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
He won’t be the only guy back in 2025 with it being reported on Thursday that the Chiefs will be franchise tagging Trey Smith. The offseason is still young, but it has been good to Kansas City so far.
