Shedeur Sanders’ message to Tom Brady sparks buzz amid Raiders draft speculation

Shedeur Sanders has never hid his interest in becoming a Las Vegas Raider and that continued this week at the NFL Combine with a direct message at team minority owner Tom Brady.

Sanders is considered one of the top-two quarterbacks in the NFL Draft alongside former Miami star Cam Ward.

Raiders general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Caroll met with Sanders in Indianapolis, and the former Colorado quarterback wanted to make sure Brady still had eyes on him too.

‘Tom Brady, he’s an all-time great,’ the son of Deion Sanders said. ‘Being able to have that resource, being able to have that person I’m able to talk to and call whenever I’m having questions about the game, he’s able to relate to it, because he did it at the highest level. It’s truly amazing. I’m thankful for that.’

Shedeur’s relationship with Brady dates back to October 2022, when the former legendary NFL quarterback signed Sanders to an NIL deal.

The Raiders select at No 6 in the NFL Draft, needing to likely move up to secure their chance at Sanders, with several teams also having immediate needs for a quarterback.

Sanders also detailed what his meeting with Carroll and Spytek was like.

‘I met with [the Raiders] here, I met with a lot of teams here,’ Sanders added. ‘It’s truly exciting, being able to meet Coach [Carroll] and everybody with the organization and staff. So, if they call me and they say, “Come on and visit” you know I’ll be there.’

Brady will not make any final decision for the Raiders with the NFL Draft, as several people have equal or more say in their personnel decisions.

However, Brady has a unique pull to players because of his status as a living legend.

Sanders could also land with the Titans, Browns, Giants, Colts, or a few other teams looking for a new quarterback.
