How many times has Kelsea Ballerini been nominated for a Grammy Award?

Ballerini has been nominated for five Grammys. It’s really just a matter of time before she takes one home.

Her 2015 single “Peter Pan” scored her a Best New Artist nomination, and her 2017 album Unapologetically was up for Best Country Album. Her 2022 song “HEARTFIRST” was recognized for Best Country Solo Performance, and her 2023 EP Rolling Up The Welcome Mat was a contender for Best Country Album. Most recently, her 2024 collaboration with Noah Kahan, “Cowboys Cry Too,” was up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

While Ballerini has previously admitted that not winning awards used to be tough on her, she has since realized nominations, on their own, come with a pretty sweet prize.

“I don’t win things … and I’m cool with it,” Ballerini said on the SiriusXM show Fierce: Women in Music in 2025. “There are certain things that used to really make me cry myself to sleep. One is when people said I wasn’t country. And two is losing awards. Now I’ve changed my relationship with all of it … If you get nominated, that means that sometimes, if you’re lucky, you get three-and-a-half minutes to sing on a show like the CMAs or the ACMs or the CMTs, you know? And that’s an award … I’m good with it.”

Kelsea Ballerini got incredible career advice from Taylor Swift

Even Coaches need coaching sometimes, and Ballerini has cited Taylor Swift as a mentor figure in the music industry. Fitting, since Swift has literally been a Mega Mentor on The Voice.

During an interview with Willie Geist on TODAY, Ballerini shared, “I remember I asked her, I was like, ‘You know, I’m a girl on an independent label. So this is proving to be a little difficult for me. She was like, ‘You have to become undeniable. Whatever that means to you, whatever that looks like for you. Then no one can tell you no, because what is no? You just, you pivot. Pivot, you know?’”
