Christian Horner no ocultó el gusto que te tendría para firmar a George Russell en Red Bull, lo cual pondría fuera a Sergio Pérez a pesar de que tenga contrato para 2025.
El director de la escudería de bebidas energéticas fue cuestionado por el rumor que coloca al británico de Mercedes, y en vez de negarlo, dejó la puerta abierta.

En entrevista para Sky Sports, Christian Horner se pronunció sobre cambiar de piloto tras las pobres actuaciones de Checo Pérez: “Queremos tomarnos un tiempo para considerar cuáles son nuestras opciones para el futuro”, mencionó.
Y ahí fue cuando al británico le pusieron nombres en la mesa, como el de George Russell, puesto que podría probar la agencia de Fórmula 1 al término de la próxima campaña.
“No tenemos miedo de salir a buscar, él termina contrato a fines del año próximo y sería una tontería no tenerlo en cuenta“, se sinceró sobre hacer dupla con Max Verstappen.

Por otra parte, el mandamás de Red Bull se dijo triste por los polos opuestos que se vivió en la qualy del GP de Singapur entre sus pilotos.
“Fue una actuación realmente fantástica. Es muy bonito cómo Verstappen y sus ingenieros consiguieron dar la vuelta a la situación después de tanto trabajo duro. Después de la FP2, no nos dimos cuenta durante un rato, pero conseguimos recuperarnos muy bien. Fue una clasificación muy fuerte por parte de Max, que tuvo que esforzarse mucho, pero sacó el máximo partido del coche”.
Del otro, Sergio Pérez batalló con el RB20 y ni siquiera pasó a la Q3: “Parece que los reglajes han vuelto a cambiar desde Bakú, porque Checo cometió un error en la última chicane y eso acabó costándole un puesto en la Q3″.
“Es frustrante para él, pero los pilotos de Ferrari siguen estando cerca. En cualquier caso, será una carrera difícil desde el puesto 13, pero realmente creo que hemos mejorado el coche”, concluyó.
