The Family Chantel star Riverknight “River” Everett and his girlfriend Megan Montenegro’s current relationship status after season 3 has been revealed. River was introduced in 90 Day Fiancé as Chantel Everett’s overprotective younger brother who had always been wary of Pedro Jimeno’s intentions. River had a music career outside the show and Megan was the first girlfriend that became a part of his storyline.
In 2021, River had gushed about Megan, who was a professional model with a “body-ody.” River liked how Megan looked in a bathing suit. He’d revealed he’d always had quick flings and had never had such deep feelings for a woman. River met Megan through mutual friends and had been talking to her for a couple of months. He liked that he could talk to her about anything. River was 23 and Megan was 28 years old. “It’s like a dream come true,” River told the cameras, although they were casually dating.
River & Megan’s Relationship On The Family Chantel
What Happened Between River & Megan On The Show?
Amid Chantel and Pedro’s relationship trouble as the pair were headed to their now-confirmed divorce, there was love in the air for River, who had met a woman named Megan. Megan had inspired many tracks on River’s EP EXODUS at the time. There was a song named “Kentucky Vibes” which he seemed to have dedicated to Megan. A line from the song “Pretty vibe from Kentucky yeah my vision is clearer” hinted at his then relationship status with Megan. River had fallen head over heels for the model, army veteran, and singer who preferred the finer things in life.
“My brother told me hold up man she got a past”
River had referred to Megan’s past before he met her through his song. Chantel and River’s mother, Karen Everett, had found out that Megan had a son when they met her for lunch. Chantel worried about River getting himself involved in the child’s life and the relationship not working out later. She would have preferred it if Megan had waited for a year until she introduced her son to her boyfriend. There was also the age gap issue with Megan being five years older than River.
“She is a little older and has priorities in place.”
Despite her not seeing the red flags in her own marriage with Pedro, Chantel could see that Megan and River wanted different things in life because she was older. She saw River’s heart breaking in the future and her worst fear did come true. It shockingly happened after River showed Megan “Kentucky Vibes” which he wrote for her, and she tearfully admitted that she wasn’t as serious as River in the relationship. She worried that he’d want more from her when she was fearing commitment.
Megan Is A Musical Artist
Megan Calls Herself “Cammy”
Megan and River broke up in The Family Chantel season 3 itself. She didn’t have that “more” that River was looking for even though they had music that connected them and made them a compatible couple. Megan was involved in music like River. She had released her debut single “Rodeo” when she made her The Family Chantel debut. Megan goes by “Cammy” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Her latest single is called “I Do” and was released in 2023. She has also released a song named “Juicy” recently.
