Deavan Clegg became infamous in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise for her appearance in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way seasons 1 and 2, but she hasn’t been in the spotlight for some time now. The American mother married South Korean man Jihoon Lee on The Other Way, before leaving him and taking their son Taeyang back to the United States. Several years after the split, Deavan’s moved on, even though she’s known for blaming Jihoon for her problems.

Deavan is one American in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise who made a big change when she moved to South Korea. The American woman (who also has a daughter, Drascilla) was enamored with Korean culture, and became pregnant after her first date with Jihoon. However, the couple soon experienced many issues, including the fact that Jihoon wasn’t working. Deavan eventually left him, and the exes don’t talk, even though they share a son.

Her & Jihoon’s Son Got Cancer

Deavan is one 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast member who’s had troubles. Though she’s considered a franchise villain, her son Taeyang has been living with cancer, and she’s been there for him. Taeyang was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2022, and he’s had a long battle with the illness. Deavan shared an update about her young son in May 2023.

” Taeyang is still fighting cancer but he’s doing amazing we will win this battle,” she wrote.

In early October 2024, Deavan pointed her Instagram following of over 500,000 people to her YouTube channel, where she gave an inspiring update on Taeyang. Deavan shared a video of Taeyang in the cancer center, but this time, it was good news. Taeyang was getting his medication port out, and he got to “ring the bell,” signifying that his battle with cancer was at a positive point. Deavan noted that Taeyang’s blood tests were all coming back good and that he had not been having any cancer-related difficulties recently.

Deavan now has three children from three different fathers, making her a proud 90 Day Fiancé franchise mother. She first had Drascilla before marrying Jihoon. Now, she has full custody of Taeyang. Deavan alleges that Jihoon does not want to be in his son’s life, though Jihoon has stated that he wants to be with his son, but isn’t able to see his child.

Deavan announced in May 2022 that she was pregnant with her third child. She gave birth in November, and now has three young children to care for. The mother even dealt with Taeyang’s cancer treatment while being pregnant.

As of November 2024, Jihoon has not seen Taeyang since Deavan left Korea, and it’s unclear if Taeyang has had any contact whatsoever with his father or whether they have an official custody agreement.

Things with Deavan and Jihoon are most definitely over, as the 90 Day Fiancé franchise exes stand no chance of reconciliation. Deavan has happily moved on with Christopher “Topher” Park, who’s the father of her third child. Topher and Deavan have been together for a few years. He proposed to her after she gave birth last fall. Deavan and Topher enjoy filming web content together, and they appear to be very comfortable around each other. They thrive in the spotlight.

She Capitalized On Her 90 Day Fiancé Fame

Deavan has certainly taken advantage of her 90 Day Fiancé fame. After the show, she focused on getting a plastic surgery overhaul. She has gotten lip injections, face fillers, and a face contouring procedure called Morpheus8, that Deavan said got rid of her double chin. 27-year-old Deavan has been open about her journey with cosmetic procedures through her Instagram. Also through Instagram, Deavan is a social media influencer, and promotes products like water flossers.

Deavan is also an avid lifestyle content creator, and she shares videos about her life as a mom, fiancée, and childhood cancer advocate. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way may have highlighted the tumultuous chapter of her life with Jihoon, but it did give her a platform to become an influencer. It’s unlikely fans will see Deavan again in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, as she is concentrating on her family YouTube channel and in a domestic relationship.
