Corona Blakey was a cast member in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6, and it’s time for an update on her. Corona was on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 with Ingi Hilmar. Corona moved to Ingi’s native Iceland from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There were a total of six couples featured in season 6: Corona and Ingi, Josh McGuffey and Lily Huang, and Joanne and Sean DiGesu, and Meitalia “Tatha” Solis and James Solis who were new couples, and Shekinah Garner and Saper Güven and Statler Riley and Dempsey Wilkinson who were returning.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is the third spinoff in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, and it is considered to be one of the main spinoffs within the network. In season 6, several of the couples broke up, or left their relationship statuses in murky territory. A lot of poor decision-making went on among the couples within their varying storylines, and all of the couples created their own problems. Corona and Ingi’s The Other Way journey was not covered in every episode, but their relationship now has a conclusion.
Corona & Ingi’s 90 Day Fiancé Journey
It Was Turbulent
30-year-old Corona met 38-year-old Iceland native Ingi while she was visiting Iceland. They met in December 2022 and carried on a long-distance relationship for a year before they were featured on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. The pair had only spent 20 days in person before Corona moved to Iceland for love. They met at 5 a.m. at a party, when Corona saw “Nordic statue” Ingi, and he let her sleep in his bed. Upon moving, Corona was poised to give up a coveted spot in an Ivy League midwifery program to advance her Midwife career goals.
Corona had hoped to join a midwifery program in Iceland, and based her move on being able to do so. However, she was sorely mistaken when she found out that classes were taught in Icelandic and that it would be two years before she could even be accepted into a program were she to qualify, due to her missing the application deadline. Outside of the complications regarding her future in Iceland, she and Ingi were on shaky ground.
Corona questioned Ingi’s loyalty, and also was uneasy about being a black woman in Iceland. Furthermore, she expressed concern about fitting into his family, although they accepted her when she met them.
Marriage was very important to Corona, but was not equally as important to Ingi, who had never been in a real relationship before.
Corona & Ingi Broke Up
Ingi Cited A Reason

Ingi gave an interview to an Icelandic publication, and he revealed that he and Corona had broken up. He said she applied for 90 Day Fiancé when they first got together, and that he was not keen to be on the show, but Corona convinced him.
Corona lived in Iceland with Ingi for two months before returning to the States, and Ingi said that long filming days took a toll on their relationship on top of Corona’s decision to pursue her career.
Ingi claimed that he and Corona were on good terms after the breakup, but their Instagram accounts speak differently, as they don’t follow one another.
Is Corona Still Studying Midwifery?
She Seems To Have Other Focuses
On Corona‘s midwifery Instagram page, she notes that she is “Just a midwife in the making.” It’s unclear whether she got back into the Ivy League midwifery program she intended on going back to, or how long that process would take were she to be accepted into it. Corona does not post regular updates on her midwifery Instagram page, and she makes no mention of her career in her personal Instagram account posts.
Outside of midwifery aspirations, Corona now seems to be a content creator on Instagram. She frequently posts about her life, and lets her haters know she is listening and doesn’t care. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way did go as Corona had planned, and she and Ingi appear to be on salty terms. More will be revealed about Corona’s personal life as time goes on and if she is cast on any of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise spinoffs.
