The Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran and Jonathon Johnson look serious with a red heart and question mark.

The Bachelorette season 21 star Jenn Tran reunited with Jonathon Johnson after her season finale aired, and now she’s revealing if she’s back together with the fan-favorite suitor. Jenn and Jonathon had a sweet relationship during The Bachelorette season 21, and she even gave him a hometown and Fantasy Suite date before saying goodbye to him. Jenn eventually got engaged to Devin Strader, but, after she revealed that he suddenly broke up with her, she and Jonathon posted their reunion on social media.

“I want so badly to keep those friendships but nothing more than that.”

Despite the fact that Jenn and Jonathon seemed to be rekindling their romance, on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off The Vine podcast, Jenn shared that she and Jonathon are just friends, and she plans to keep it that way. Although she laughed that “the Internet loves Jenn and Jonathon,” she doesn’t plan on getting back together with him. As she explained, “I probably will be grabbing a beer with Jonathon, Jeremy [Simon], whoever it is. I want so badly to keep those friendships, but nothing more than that.”

Many viewers were puzzled when Jenn sent Jonathon home, since they believed that he was a better match for her than Devin or Marcus Shoberg. However, Jenn explained that they were both unsure about having a long-distance relationship when they didn’t fully feel a romantic connection between them. She said that she didn’t want to move from Miami, and he didn’t want to move from his hometown in Los Angeles. Jenn shared that they didn’t think that a long-distant relationship could work “if his heart wasn’t in it and mine wasn’t in it.”

Although Jenn and Jonathon didn’t feel a strong enough romantic connection to keep their relationship going, they’re clearly great friends who are very supportive of each other. Jenn has been through a very tough time after her very public breakup with Devin, and she deserves some peace as she moves forward with her life. Jonathon is the kind of man who calms her and makes her smile, so it’s good that they’re spending time together, even if it’s just as friends. Throughout The Bachelorette season 21, Jonathon was thoughtful and focused on Jenn, which was refreshing to see.

As Jenn begins competing in Dancing With the Stars season 33 alongside her professional dance partner, Sasha Farber, she’ll be in Los Angeles, so she’ll surely spend more time with Jonathon. Perhaps he’ll even support her as an audience member. They have a lot of love and respect for each other, so maybe one day their friendship will evolve into romance again. Jonathon accepted an invitation to Bachelor In Paradise, but that doesn’t mean he has to go. Hopefully, The Bachelorette‘s Jonathon and Jenn will find the happiness that they’re looking for and deserve soon, perhaps with each other.
