Married At First Sight season 18 premieres in one week, but Lifetime is already preparing for season 20, and the city for that installment has reportedly been revealed. With Married At First Sight season 18 about to launch, the fandom is on edge and doesn’t want to get burned yet again after so many failed relationships. The experts on this Lifetime reality show have a terrible track record of success. Married At First Sight season 17, which concluded back in April, saw every single couple get divorced, even after some initial positive developments on Decision Day.
Married At First Sight season 20 will allegedly film in Kansas City, according to a fan account on Instagram.
Fan account @mafsfan uncovered the supposed new location. Married At First Sight season 20 will allegedly film in Kansas City, Missouri. The fan account posted the news on their Instagram Stories and included a screenshot of a supposed casting call for that season with the text, “This casting call is currently private. Adjust this in settings if you want it to be publicly accessible.”
There was a MAFS photo with a logo that said, “Married At First Sight: Kansas City.” The fan account included captions like “allegedly” and “oopsies” with an upside down smiley-face emoji. They included the song “I Did Something Bad,” by Taylor Swift, whose boyfriend is Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and a shot of Taylor reacting at one of the football games.
What Rumored New Location For Married At First Sight Means
MAFS Will Visit A Brand-New City
The only confirmed installments are Married At First Sight season 18, which is about to premiere and was filmed in Chicago, Illinois, and season 19 in Austin, Texas. All TV shows have to plan out upcoming seasons well in advance, so it’s not surprising that Lifetime might already be prepping the casting call for season 20. Somehow, the fan account on Instagram was able to uncover the alleged casting notice (assuming it’s accurate) though nothing has been confirmed yet, which means Kansas City might not even be the city they film in next after Austin.
Cities that have hosted Married At First Sight over the years include New York City, New York; Atlanta, Georgia; Miami, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; Boston, Massachusetts; Dallas, Texas; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Charlotte, North Carolina; Washington, DC; New Orleans, Louisiana; Houston, Texas; San Diego, California; Nashville, Tennessee; and Denver, Colorado. Some of these cities have been repeat visits. However, MAFS has never filmed in Kansas City before, so it’ll be a brand-new location and a possible fresh start for the show after coming under fire for its failed relationships.
Our Take On Married At First Sight Allegedly Filming In Kansas City
It’s Unlikely MAFS Will Be Able To Make A Course Correction
Custom Image by César GarcíaMAFS has caused a lot of frustration in recent years. It’s not just MAFS season 17 that’s seen failed relationships. Across the past five seasons, there has only been one successful couple. The MAFS experts have not only failed the couples featured on the show, but they’ve failed the viewers, who want to see at least some of these cast members find success. With upcoming seasons set in Chicago, Austin and Kansas City, Lifetime has the opportunity to right the ship, but if history is any indication, then seasons 18-20 will be just as devastating as what we’ve already witnessed.
