Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Emma Crouch is once again falling down on the job as it’s becoming more clear that she should be replaced. It’s still early times for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, but several cast members are already showing signs that they need to be fired because they’re not meeting expectations. First Officer Gary King has complained to the captain about Emma’s lack of initiative as a deckhand and inability to learn the basic skills of the job. Glenn has also heard from Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher regarding Chef Cloyce Martin’s poor skills in the galley.

A preview of the next episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht (via Bravo) picks up where the previous episode left off, with a nearby boat getting dangerously close to Parsifal III late at night. Gary scrambles to deal with the situation as he tells Danni Warren to wake up Captain Glenn. Multiple cast members are frantically running around the yacht, with Gary yelling and whistling to get the attention of the people on the other boat.

Emma is woken up and heads to the deck, but Gary orders her to put her uniform on. She goes missing while taking care of her clothing, and Gary is left to deal with the emergency as he questions, “Where’s Em?” As the scene continues to unfold, Captain Glenn has the same sentiment, asking, “Where the h*** is Emma?” Gary informs him of the uniform situation but wonders why it’s taking her so long. In the meantime, other cast members, including Danni, who isn’t even a deckhand, steps up to help out, while Emma fails to resurface.

Deckhand Keith Allen, who brings the guests back to the yacht while the emergency is still unfolding, manages to take care of the situation by driving his boat over and banging on the hull and a window. Once that scary incident is over, Emma is suddenly seen on the deck, but the action is already over. When she wakes up the next morning, she’s “ecstatic” that the charter is ending. The clip ends with Gary showing Emma (again) how to hang the flag since she put it at half-mast. “No one’s dead,” Gary says, after which Emma apologizes.

There are multiple Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast members who have received numerous warnings about their job performance on board Parsifal III, Emma among them. It just doesn’t seem like the deckhand is interested in doing the job she’s been hired for. There’s a huge lack of motivation on the part of Emma. Captain Glenn is very aware of how she’s doing as a deckhand since Gary keeps mentioning things to him. Amid this latest incident, he’s now aware that Emma, for the most part, avoided dealing with an emergency as huge as a boat almost crashing into Parsifal III. It should have only taken a few minutes for Emma to put on her uniform, but she stuck around in her cabin, drinking water, and taking her time.

Emma has been given multiple chances to improve. Gary keeps repeating the same lessons over and over again, to no avail. She just isn’t cut out for a job on a yacht. It would be best if Captain Glenn fire Emma and find a replacement who can execute the duties and responsibilities of a deckhand. The rest of the cast members would definitely be thankful for that.
