The news of Singh’s death was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by People, who noted that a toxicology report was underway to establish the cause. While authorities have not ruled out natural causes, insiders revealed that Singh had been grappling with health complications. The comedian died while in San Francisco, where the local police are currently investigating his unexpected death.
Jeremy Curry, a close friend of Singh’s, paid tribute on Facebook, sharing a photo of the two smiling together. Curry confirmed that Singh died peacefully in his sleep. In his post, Curry also shared details of Singh’s memorial services. He wrote, “It’s My Deepest Regrets to let Everyone Know that Kabir Singh has passed away… He passed away peacefully in his sleep and this is the most devastating post I’ve posted….Services will be Saturday December 14 at 8:30 am @ Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward… Please keep his family and fiancé in your thoughts and prayers….I Love you bro.”
Singh, affectionately known as Kabeezy, was born in Portland to Indian parents and spent a brief period in Mumbai, where he honed his multilingual comedic skills. In addition to his AGT appearance in 2021, Singh performed on several prominent platforms, including Comedy Central and Family Guy. His credits also include a 2014 appearance on Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand Up Revolution and a 2017 guest spot on Punchline for Fox. Despite his demanding career, Singh had been actively touring, with his last show taking place on November 2.
