A new week is here, and with it comes a few new movies and shows on Netflix! While there aren’t a ton of new additions coming this week, there may be one or two things you’re interested in checking out. The new movies and shows include a new supernatural series, a new crime mini-series, and an Oscar-winning film with Will Smith.

First up is Dead Boy Detectives! It’s headed to Netflix on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The series follows two dead boys (as you might have guessed) who decide not to enter the afterlife and stay on Earth to investigate crimes. And they end up teaming up with a clairvoyant teenage girl. The show features Lukas Gage, Briana Cuoco, George Rexstrew, Jayden Revri, Cassius Nelson, and Ruth Connell.

The Asunta Case and King Richard on Netflix this week

More in the mood for some true crime? While this isn’t a documentary, The Asunta Case is based on a true story. The mini-series follows two parents who end up at the center of their daughter’s murder case. The case shocked Spain in 2013, and while the parents reported their daughter missing, when she turned up murdered, the case turned against them. The mini-series hits Netflix on Friday, April 26.

King Richard is also headed to Netflix this week! The movie telling the story of the Williams sisters and their father comes to Netflix on Wednesday, April 24. The film stars Will Smith,
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Saniyya Sidney, Demi Singleton, Tony Goldwyn, Jon Bernthal, Mikayla Lashae Bartholomew, and Daniele Lawson. Will Smith won an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his role as Richard Williams.
