Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden will be making a TV comeback away from the famous ballroom as she joins the likes of Joe Swash and Zoe Ball for the return of a popular BBC series.
The professional dancer has been named the cast for the upcoming series of Who Do You Think You Are?. The genealogy series sees celebrities delve deep into their family roots to discover their incredible family histories.
Across eight episodes, the stars will uncover extraordinary stories of strength, love, tragedy, rebellion and resilience as they journey across the UK from London to Glasgow and even globally, travelling to Australia, Tasmania, Italy, India, the Bahamas and Kenya.
For Amy, viewers will see her step away from the dance floor to solve a family murder, with the investigation leading her to a farmhouse in West Wales and a valley named after her ancestor.
As well as Welsh star Amy, and Joe and Zoe, the line-up for Who Do Yo Think You Are’s next series, set to air this spring, are Adeel Akhtar, Harriet Walter, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Ruth Madeley and Toby Jones.
