“You won’t be able to believe it”, LeBron James Reveals One Normal Thing Bronny James, Bryce James Have Never Done

LeBron James knows what it’s like to grow up playing every sport under the sun — football, basketball, even track and field. But in a revealing moment on his show “Mind the Game,” the NBA icon admitted his kids have lived a very different reality.

During a conversation with Steve Nash and guest Luka Doncic, Nash asked LeBron if Bronny and Bryce ever just go to the park to play with friends.

LeBron didn’t hold back in his response and gave a candid and blunt answer.

“Very rarely,” he said. “They did play outside a little bit. But most of it is indoors and programmed.”

The Lakers star went on to explain that while his kids grew up in places like South Florida and Southern California — where weather was never an excuse to stay inside — structured sports programs took over from the beginning. It wasn’t just pick-up games or trying new things for fun. It was schedules, trainers and plans.

That’s a stark contrast to how LeBron grew up in Northeast Ohio.

“We tried all sports … even track and field,” he said. “We played football all the way through high school. We didn’t just cap it at one thing.”

He warned that today’s generation of athletes might be suffering from that early specialization and lack of variety.

“A lot of kids just burn out with one thing now,” LeBron added.

It’s a rare glimpse into how even the children of basketball royalty don’t always get to experience sports the way most kids do. And for LeBron, that shift isn’t necessarily for the better. Exploring different sports helped shape his athletic identity — and he wishes more kids had the same chance.
