Princess Charlotte stood proudly alongside her dad Prince William at the nail-biting Euros final last night where the Lionesses sailed to victory – and royal fans have spotted a very sweet tribute to her mum Kate

Princess Charlotte went through a rollercoaster of emotions at the nail-biting Euros final, cheering the Lionesses on in the stands on alongside her doting dad Prince William.

The young royal fist-pumped the air as England won against Spain at the final hurdle, securing a glittering win in a tense penalty showdown.

William and Charlotte couldn’t hide their feelings throughout the big game. The 10-year-old was even seen covering her face with her hands as the intensity of the clash ripped through the stadium in Basel, Switzerland, last night. Her dad looked similarily stressed, clasping his hands together and grimacing before England equalised in the second half.

But all nerves soon melted away as England became champions once more, and Charlotte joined William on the pitch to congratulate the players.

The pair said in a statement on X: “What a game! @Lionesses, you are the champions of Europe and we couldn’t be prouder of the whole team. Enjoy this moment England. W & Charlotte.” The snap of them on the pitch was shared with the caption: “CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!”

And eagled-eyed royal watchers have noticed Charlotte’s sweet nod to her mum Kate, who stayed at home with her other siblings George and Louis while dad and daughter enjoyed a very special night out.

The Princess wore a navy poka dot dress with ruffled sleeves, paired with a cream coloured cardigan. William also looked the part in a dapper suit. And royal fans have spotted that it’s not the first time Charlotte has worn that outfit – just like her mum, the young royal is known for rewearing key pieces.

Charlotte appears to be wearing a Guess dress that she first wore last year at Wimbledon, where she attended the men’s singles final alongside her mum Kate, who was still undergoing cancer treatment at the time.

Of the sweet outfit choice, one fan wrote: “Same dress in different sizes on Princess Charlotte today. The dress she has on today is invisibly longer and the skirt is fuller. Princess Catherine is known to buy same dresses in different colors and sizes and same for Charlotte. Marvelous.”

Another wrote: “Princess Charlotte is such a beautiful child! She reminds me of the late Queen when she was younger. What a knockout!” And a third said: “Princess Charlotte is her great grandmother reborn”

In the stands, William and Charlotte was seated nearbly Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Princess Leonor of Spain and UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin. The dad and daughter duo could be seen chatting about the game together before erupting into celebration when England triumphed.

Also applauding the Lionesses on social media was King Charles, who said: “This brings you, your manager and all your support team my most heartfelt congratulations on winning the Euros 2025. For more years than I care to remember, England fans have sung that famous chant ‘football’s coming home’.
