A number of Kanye West fans have called out the rapper for his performance in Shanghai
Some Kanye West fans have hit out at the Stronger rapper for his recent performance at a 70,000 capacity venue in Shanghai.
The disgraced musician has been criticised for going on an anti-Semitic rant on X, selling swastika-branded clothing on his website, and releasing songs such as ‘Heil Hitler’ this year.
Calling himself Ye since 2021, the father-of-four has since apologised for his actions, as fans are still gathering in their thousands to go and see him.
It comes after he allegedly changed his name last month after his chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, was said to have filed new documents under the name ‘Ye Ye.’
Well, whatever he now goes by, you know who he is and so did the 70,000 fans who turned out to a seemingly ‘disappointing’ concert at Shanghai Stadium on Saturday night (12 July).
The Global Times reported that there was a significant delay getting him on stage, as a number of production issues appeared to crop up on the night.

According to Chengdu Business Daily, fans started chanting for refunds, while it poured down, with rain and with Kanye yet to appear on stage.
Tickets reportedly ranged from 980 yuan (£102) to 2,680 yuan (£278).
One fan, who accused him of lip syncing, shared a video on X, along with a serious of tweets criticising the Yeezy star.
“45 minute late start – Shanghai has been averaging 30-40 degrees Celsius weather recently,” the supporter began.
“Mostly lip synching. His microphone must have been up less than 20 percent of the time.
“For the encore, he disappeared for over 20 minutes at one point as tracks like ‘Wolves’ just played out with him nowhere in sight. I could have just played your music at home man. Came to see u perform????”
They continued: “Stage set-up was terrible. I paid $260 for my seat and though they were reasonably close, he stayed in the circle so nobody could actually see him closely even if you were vip.
So I’ve been a fan of Kanye West since I was a teen. MBDTF opened my ears to the sonics in music. Was hard to get tix for him in Shanghai but got it. Was hyped af. Couldn’t even sleep night before. But. Worst concert I’ve ever been to. @kanyewest u can be better
Event promoter StellarAmberGroup offered an explanation as to what was going on, blaming heavy rain for the production problems.
In a statement on China’s social media platform, Sina Weibo, they said: “However, for this long-awaited return after 17 years, Ye’s team insisted on prioritising artistic integrity. After emergency adjustments, the show was delayed to ensure the best possible experience and to minimise the disappointment for the audience.”
Issuing an apology, they added: “We are deeply moved by the understanding and patience shown by many of the attendees and express our heartfelt gratitude.
“We also extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused and appreciate everyone’s attention and support.”
