One Direction singer Liam Payne sadly died last month during a vacation to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a source has suggested his loved ones still have questions
Liam Payne’s family and friends “want the real story” as the investigation into his death remains open.
The One Direction star sadly died at the age of 31 on October 16 after falling from the third story balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Investigators have been looking into the circumstances surrounding Liam’s death.
Prosecutors have yet to confirm any results from the toxicology and tissue tests they have carried out. As Liam’s family awaits the results, a source has said his loved ones have been left with “so many unanswered questions”.
They suggested Liam had been “living a double life” and said his family and friends “knew about his addiction and mental health struggles”. Now, the source said his loved ones “want the real story” of his fatal fall.

The source said those close to Liam had believed he was sober in the days leading up to his death. Argentinian news outlet Infobae reported that forensic experts had discovered traces of cocaine in Liam’s body, however, tests on a mysterious white powder pictured in several leaked photographs of the inside of his hotel suite have proved “inconclusive”.
Unconfirmed reports out of the US claimed a cocktail of drugs, including “pink cocaine” had been found in Liam’s system during a partial autopsy. Speaking to In Touch Magazine, the source suggested Liam “spiraled” after his girlfriend Kate Cassidy left Argentina.
Kate traveled from South America to America just four days before Liam died. In a TikTok video, she explained her reason for leaving, saying: “I was so ready to leave.
“Honestly, love South America but I hate staying in one place for too long. And we were supposed to be there for, like, five days, turned into two weeks.”
Prior to Liam’s death, there had been talks of holding an “intervention” for him, according to the source. However, they said “this all happened so quickly” and the intervention never took place.
The source concluded: “Everyone is truly shocked. His loved ones won’t stop until they find out exactly how this happened—and who might be responsible.”
