Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy and his wife, Hillary Vaughn, have expanded their brood with the arrival of a bouncing baby boy named George Jack Doocy—the couple’s second child together.
Doocy, 37, and Vaughn wed in an intimate ceremony in South Carolina in 2021, two years before celebrating the arrival of their firstborn child, daughter Bridget Blake Doocy, now 2.
However, that was not the only milestone moment for the Doocys in 2023, a year that also saw the happy couple purchasing a stunning $1.68 million home where they can accommodate their growing family.
The five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom dwelling is located in Fairfax, VA, just a 40-minute drive from the White House in Washington, DC, where Doocy works as Fox News’ senior White House correspondent, while his wife serves as a correspondent for Fox Business.
Vaughn was reporting from Capitol Hill just hours before the birth of her son on April 16, revealing to People magazine that she made her way straight from her Tax Day coverage to a routine appointment with her OB, who said her baby was “ready to come out.”

“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes, I don’t blame him!” she joked.
Speaking to People, Doocy’s father, “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy, revealed that his son also had a bit of an action-packed lead-up to his son’s birth, explaining that he learned Vaughn was in labor shortly after a bird landed on his head during a live broadcast outside the White House.
According to Steve, his son was midway through a report when “out of nowhere, a dive-bombing bird smacked him in the head.
“That night, Peter went home, shampooed his hair to get the dirty bird out, and Hillary went into labor sometime after the cream rinse,” he shared.
Luckily, Vaughn and Doocy had quite a wait before they would get the chance to meet their newborn—who arrived after 30 hours of labor. His proud mom says it was more than worth the wait.
“It has been such a blessing to welcome our son to this world, and it is just as special to see Bridget welcome her baby brother George,” she said. “Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends, and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before.”
The happy couple proudly showed off their home in a photoshoot shared with People, in which they could be seen posing with both of their babies inside the picturesque dwelling.
According to the listing for the property, it was previously owned by a builder who poured plenty of time and energy into creating a dream family dwelling, with the description hailing it as a “distinctive and refined” abode.
It “exudes fine touches and luxury finishes almost too numerous to list,” the listing went on.

Those special details include custom cabinetry, top-of-the-line appliances, and double dishwashers in the kitchen, a home office with a separate entrance, custom antebellum antique hardwood floors throughout, and en suite bathrooms for every bedroom.
Entertaining spaces abound in the home, which features a “massive oversized basement” with a wet bar and gym, as well as a library, an expansive living room, and manicured gardens
Perhaps most importantly for the growing family, the home was also outfitted with a “comprehensive state of the art security system.”
The property played a key role in Doocy and Vaughn’s announcement of their second pregnancy—which they shared in a sweet Christmas-themed photo snapped inside the dwelling.
Posted in December 2024, the image saw the happy couple posing next to a Christmas tree alongside their daughter, who was perched next to a giant letter to Santa, which read: “Dear Santa, Baby Brother PLEASE! Love Bridget.”
Although the Virginia property is a relatively new purchase for Doocy and his wife, the Fox News host is no stranger to DC, having relocated there in 2010 after securing a postgraduate position with the network—where his father has worked for nearly two decades.
Doocy spent much of his childhood living in New Jersey, where his parents still own a home, according to property records.
Luckily, the Wyckoff dwelling isn’t too far from DC, which means Bridget and George can likely expect plenty of visits from their doting grandparents.
“Little do they know as a grandparent, my job is to spoil them rotten the rest of their lives,” Steve told People.
