Doocy’s dad, fellow co-host Steve Doocy, shared details about the couple’s wedding on Fox & Friends about a week later.
Doocy and Vaughn originally wanted to get married at the end of January 2021, but because of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, they had to reschedule for the spring, Steve said. The wedding was intimate, as the guest count was reduced to only 18 people.
At the wedding’s outdoor reception, Doocy wore a navy blue tuxedo while Vaughn donned a long-sleeved dress with floral appliques, as seen in photos on their Instagram profiles.

In addition to sharing their wedding news on Fox & Friends, Doocy and Vaughn also revealed they were going to have their first child on the morning news show in September 2022.
During a segment promoting Steve and his wife Kathy Doocy’s cookbook, The Simply Happy Cookbook, Doocy mentioned that Vaughn was “hungry all the time.”
“That’s because I’m eating for two,” she replied. A sonogram photo was then displayed on air.

Doocy and Vaughn welcomed their daughter, Bridget Blake Doocy, on Feb. 1, 2023.
Vaughn told PEOPLE that her water broke while she was on the way to work on Capitol Hill.
“I knew where all the offices were for senators who used to be doctors. Luckily, I didn’t have to call [them] to catch the baby!” she said.
Two years later, George was born on April 16, 2025. Vaughn told PEOPLE she was once again on Capitol Hill — this time reporting on taxes — when she headed to her routine OB appointment. While there, she was told George “was ready to come out.”
“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes — I don’t blame him!” Vaughn joked.
Vaughn has credited her career for helping her prepare for parenthood

After the birth of their daughter, Vaughn figured out that journalism had prepared her to become a mom.
“I didn’t realize this until now, but I’ve been training for motherhood my entire career by trying to get lawmakers on Capitol Hill to respond to my questions,” she told PEOPLE in February 2023. “This job isn’t much different. ‘Baby Bridget — can you give us a comment? Are you hungry or gassy, or both?’ Trying to get an on-the-record answer is tough!”
Doocy’s father Steve also offered some advice he learned from his career: take lots of pictures.
“I learned from my mom and dad as a kid how important it is to get as many photos and videos as possible — clips we will have forever — but can also share in real-time,” Doocy told PEOPLE ahead of his first Father’s Day as a new dad in 2023.
