Sam Thompson has broken his silence on his new romance as Pete Wicks was quick to defend him as he was caught in an embrace in an alleyway.
The Hits Radio host and This Morning star is rumoured to be in a new relationship with former Love Island star Samie Elishi following his split from ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott at the end of last year.
Sam recently revealed he was dating again and turning to his best pal Pete for advice, he revealed: “I went on the first date that I’ve had since I’ve been single recently and I was so nervous that I messaged Pete and it was the sweetest thing ever, but Pete basically sent me a list of what I had to do.”
Sam has more recently been seen alongside Samie after they were among the guests at Olivia Attwood’s birthday party over the early May bank holiday weekend.
Now, the former Made in Chelsea star has all but confirmed his new relationship as Pete quizzed him in a new episode of his podcast over pap pictures released in which he and Samie could be seen kissing in an alleyway.
Referencing the paparazzi photo, Strictly Come Dancing 2024 contestant Pete said: “What I took away from that is that you are a passionate and gentle kisser. It’s a beautiful moment in an alleyway.”

Sam laughed before he said: “I stupidly looked at some comment and it was like ‘calling the paps on themselves.’ Do you know what the f***ing worst thing is? It does look like that because they’ve long lensed it from wherever the hell they’ve been.
“And it does just look like we’ve just stepped outside in front of a bunch of photographers and be like, ‘Here you go, guys, me and this girl, we’re going to have a kiss!'”
But Pete replied: “You’re both very lovely people and it’s not really anyone else’s business. And I mean that.” Sam then said of Samie: “What I will say though, really awesome chick. You met her that night. Really, really lovely. Super down to earth, super nice, beautiful, obviously.”
As a clip of the conversation was shared on Staying Relevant’s Instagram page, fans were quick to show Sam their support over his love life.
