Cori Broadus, the daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, gave birth to her first child months before her scheduled due date
Snoop Dogg’s latest grandchild arrived earlier than expected.
The Gin and Juice rapper is a grandfather to eight children, with his eighth born earlier this year. His youngest child, and only daughter, Cori Broadus, announced she was expecting a baby last December.
While originally predicted to arrive later this year, Cori’s baby came early in February. Her daughter is scheduled to stay in the NICU until her full-term due date in June. But Cori is resilient, juggling being a new mom and running her lipgloss company, CHOC. Cori spoke to the Mirror US about her parents’ love for her baby.
“I couldn’t ask for better parents,” she said. “My dad has been supportive, and my mom. That little girl is so spoiled already; she got all kinds of diaper bags, blankets, and burping cloths.”

She added that as the only girl and the youngest kid, “it’s different when the girl has a baby.” She added, “So it’s like this is their baby. It’s been amazing just seeing, you know, my mom and my dad in that state because, I mean, I have nieces and nephews, but I feel like it’s different because those are not my kids.”
“So to see them love my baby like it’s their baby, that means a lot to me, and just them supporting and giving me whatever I need. So they have been truly amazing. I have a great support system, and every day, I thank God for that,” she continued.
The 24-year-old new mom also shared how she felt about her baby coming four months earlier than expected. “I’m still processing everything and just trying to see the beauty of everything because I feel like it’s easy to be a Debbie Downer or Negative Nancy and be sad about your situation when there’s still a lot of positive things,” she said.
“For one, she’s alive, she’s breathing. She has all her five fingers and five toes. Yeah, she’s in the NICU, and yeah, she’s so small, but she’s small, but she’s mighty,” she continued. “I feel like nobody envisions motherhood like this. You envision a full term, having a healthy baby, bringing your baby home, being able to hold your baby, give your baby a hug. But sometimes in life, things could go a different way. You just got to stay down and trust the process, trust God ’cause he don’t make no mistakes.”
