New York born rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo has been keeping the public updated on his client’s upcoming court battle amid allegations of sex trafficking and transportation
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lawyer has commented about the rapper’s refusal to accept plea deal, after he was charged with sex trafficking.
Now, his attorney has said Combs maintains his innocence, stating that a plea deal is off the table ahead of the trial, with the artist adamant he will clear his name.

Speaking in a teaser for TMZ’s new documentary, The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Agnifilo says: “I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand. I think he’s very eager to tell his story
Referring to CCTV footage showing Combs physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016, the high-profile lawyer explained: “I think he will tell every part of his story, including what you see on the video. He has his story, and he has a story that, I think, only he can tell in the way he can tell it in real time. It’s a human story. It’s a story of love, it’s a story of hurt, it’s a story of heartbreak.”
He added: “When he describes that relationship, the word he uses more than any other word is heartbreak. He was heartbroken. She was heartbroken.”
A 1999 interview with Entertainment Tonight recently resurfaced amid the new claims, with Combs casually joking that he’d probably be arrested at some point for his “crazy” actions at his infamous parties. He said: “They won’t even give me a permit for the parties. And they don’t want me to throw the parties no more. But we ain’t going to stop. We gonna keep on having fun. Bringing people together from all walks of life. You’re going to hear about my parties. They gonna be shutting them down. They gonna probably be arresting me – doing all types of crazy things just because we want to have a good time.”
Although the comments have not aged well, Agnifilo insisted during Combs’ first hearing that his client is “an innocent man with nothing to hide.”
After claims emerged from authorities that they seized more than 1000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant from Combs’ $40million LA mansion, Agnifilo addressed why they were they. Claiming Combs simply likes to buy in bulk, he told The New York Post: “I don’t think it was 1,000. I think it was a lot. I mean, there is a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know. And you know these are consensual adults doing what consensual adults do, you know, we can’t get so puritanical in this country to think that somehow sex is a bad thing because if it was there would be no more people.”
Combs’ next hearing is set for October 9 at 2pm.
