Sacked GB News star Mark Dolan vows to ‘name and shame fakes’ after unexpected exit

Mark Dolan announced earlier this week that he’d been sacked by GB News after three years at the channel, with him since sharing that he is launching his own show through YouTube now

Presenter Mark Dolan has warned that he will “name and sham” other people in the broadcasting industry following the news of his sacking from GB News.

Mark, 50, announced earlier this week that he’d been sacked with no warning and spoke about his departure in a YouTube video, launching his new project the Mark Dolan Show on the platform. He reflected on having worked for the channel and teased his future in the video, which was titled ‘SACKED by GB News – My Story’.

He said at one point: “During my time at the channel, in which I was paid to have an opinion, I will have been right some of the time and wrong on other occasions. But there really isn’t a syllable of anything I said across literally hundreds of shows and thousands of hours of output that I would change.

Mark continued: “I stand by it all. Because I’m not one of those broadcasters who licks their finger, puts it in the air and decides which way the wind is blowing. There are plenty of those around – industry stooges, fakes and phonies. And I’ll be naming and shaming in the months ahead.”

Discussing his departure from the channel, he said: “Let me tell you that leaving GB News was not my choice. I was fired. It took minutes. But let me tell you, they did it nicely.” He expressed gratitude for support he has received from people over the news and thanked his former colleagues, as reported by the Express.

He remarked: “I want to thank GB News’ bold and visionary management and I want to thank my brilliant production team on Mark Dolan Tonight for the extraordinary amount of hard work that they put into every programme. Let me tell you I have made friends for life – cherished friendships. And that is a wonderful thing.”

Sharing his confidence in both GB News and his future endeavors, he stated: “Plus, it’s my view that Britain needs GB News and I believe it will prevail. But I am going to prevail too, and then some, with an on air product that will get the country and the world talking. I can do more here than I could do over there, so watch me go.”

The presenter – who joined GB News back in 2021 – further teased his new platform in the video that was uploaded on Friday evening. He told viewers that the project will be his own self-titled show, which he suggested will be both “uncensored” and “unapologetic,” following his departure from GB News.
