Prince William has spoken about his brother Prince Harry in his new upcoming ITV documentary.
The Prince of Wales, 42, has been in a rift with his brother for years, with the pair no longer believed to be on speaking terms since the release of Harry’s memoir Spare last year.
However, in the two-part series Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, which is set to air on October 30 and 31 on ITV and ITVX, the future King does in fact speak about his estranged brother.
This is when William speaks about the impact his mother, the late Princess Diana, had on his desire to end homelessness, taking both her and Harry to homeless shelters as young boys.
The future King said: “My mother took me to the Passage; she took Harry and I both there… I’d never been to anything like that before and I was a bit anxious as to what to expect.
“My mother went about her usual part of making everyone feel relaxed and having a joke with everyone…I remember having some good conversation, playing chess and chatting.
“You meet people, like I did then, who put a different perspective in your head.”
The new documentary is also set to display some photos of the young princes at these shelters, including those of William and Harry together with their mother Diana.
According to The Daily Mail, the documentary is the first time William has mentioned his brother’s name in a public speech or interview since 2018 when the two princes, alongside the Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle, were interviewed at the Royal Foundation Forum.

This year, the prince did wish Harry a happy 40th birthday on official social media channels, however many believe they are unlikely to have spoken privately.
This comes after the brothers attended a Spencer family funeral over the summer and were said to have not spoken to each other despite being in the same room.
Prince William is not expected to discuss his current relationship with Harry in the documentary.
