Prince Harry revealed he shopped for his “everyday casual clothes” in TK Maxx in his bombshell memoir Spare.

Prince Harry shared that in his younger years, he would enjoy shopping trips in Kensington, London and often frequented to TK MAXX.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, claimed that he would go on the hunt for their best deals in their “annual sale”. However, the retailer dismissed this in a brutal five-word statement and said: “We don’t actually do sales.”

Prince Harry released Spare last year and it sparked a world-wide royal frenzy after he made a series of personal statements relating to his upbringing and family life, after being a member of the Royal Family.

This came after Harry stepped down as a working member of the monarchy and relocated to his wife’s native. Both Harry and Meghan Markle, 43, now resides in Montecito, California, with their young children in an £11 million mansion.

He said that he was “particularly fond” of the discount store’s annual sale. But a spokesperson hit back and exclusively told the Express.co.uk that it is simply not the case and offer “great value deals” throughout the year.

The Duke made a series of bizarre comments about his shopping habits while growing up in his memoir. Despite receiving an allowance from his father, who took over as the King of England following his grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s death, he claimed he would shop for his “everyday casual clothes” in TK Maxx.

But the retailer dismissed claims they hold an annual sale. They said: “Whilst we’re delighted Prince Harry is a big fan, we thought we should explain we don’t actually do sales. Instead, we offer great value, style, and savings all year round.”

Spare made record-breaking sales as soon as it hit the shelves became the fastest-selling non-fiction book of 2023 and sold 400,000 copies in just one day.

Since he has met her his style has drastically changed and he is wearing more luxurious looks and stepped out in the likes of Dior and Givenchy.

However, in his 20s Harry claimed that he “didn’t fundamentally believe in fashion” when he was younger and would often buy his outfits for everyday wear from TK Maxx.

Prince Harry carefully planned his trips and had a specific “system” after “systematically” working his way up and down the racks of clothing.

He gave insight into how he would stand in the shop and hold items up against his body to see how they looked, but never taking anything into a changing room – as it was always a quick dash.

Meanwhile, he added that he made it a mission of getting in and out of the shop and never “dawdled” over the colour or style.

His priority was grabbing garments that looked “nice” or “comfortable”. Today, he would no doubt consult his wife about his ensembles and is doubt why we have seen his glow up over the past few years.

But back then, if there ever was anything Harry wasn’t 100 per cent sure about, he claims he’d ask the opinion of his driver, known as Billy the Rock – who he spoke fondly of.
