Prince Harry will be celebrating his 40th birthday this Sunday thousands of miles away from his home country.

Although the Duke of Sussex will no doubt have fun celebrating with his wife Meghan Markle, 43, and their two children Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, it is possible the prince may experience some woe on his big day despite a big birthday bash planned.

While the prince may be gaining popularity in his new home country, this is far from the case in Britain where positive views on the prince are among the lowest they have ever been.

Since quitting the Royal Family in 2020, Harry has not only suffered strained relationships with his family but with his home country too.

From bombshell interviews to his tell-all memoir, it seems that Harry has become increasingly unpopular in the UK especially among royal fans.

Despite recent attempts to win Brits back, including with more frequent trips to the country, a recent poll commissioned by The Times suggests this is failing to pay off.

Overall, only 26 per cent of UK respondents had a positive view of Harry, compared with 63 per cent for King Charles and 75 per cent for Prince William.

The poll also showed that 62 per cent of UK people who took the survey had a negative view of the Duke.

In the US, The Times reported that 49 per cent had a positive view of Harry, while 24 per cent reported a negative view.
