Prince Andrew is set to face further humiliation after Amazon Prime’s new bombshell series, A Very Royal Scandal, is released today.

The show will undoubtedly raise fresh questions over his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein that led to his exile from the Royal Family.

Back in 2019, it was revealed that Andrew would step down from royal duties following his disastrous interview with BBC’s Newsnight.

The show, which will be released in three parts, will revisit the allegations that Andrew had sex with a then-17-year-old Virginia Giuffre. Virginia was being trafficked around the world at the time by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Andrew has continued to vehemently deny any wrongdoing.

Now, five years on from the announcement that Andrew would step back from royal life, the 64-year-old appears to live a lonely life in Windsor.

As reported by the Mirror, the royal now lives as an apparent recluse at his Royal Lodge home – aside from the occasional horse ride nearby at the Windsor estate.

She said: “Andrew seems to spend most of his time either riding around the huge estate on horseback or reportedly sitting in front of a big screen watching live coverage of planes landing and taking off.”

The former Royal Navy helicopter pilot reportedly spends hours on an app watching aircraft taking off and landing across the globe — including from nearby Heathrow.

He even projects the flights from his computer on to a large screen so he can follow them in real time, a source recently told the Daily Mail.

As well as the new series, the Duke of York faces additional pressure to move out of Royal Lodge after King Charles laid off its ten-strong security team.

The King has been funding private guards at the 30-room home since Andrew’s £3million-a-year armed cops were removed in 2022 amid the US sex abuse case. But the 75-year-old has told the guards they will not be needed from the autumn.
