Unfortunately for Barkley, his lone appearance in the NBA Finals came against the legendary Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, and we all know how that story ended: the Phoenix Suns fell in six games.
Charles Barkley’s latest statement on Michael Jordan
In a recent interview with Dan Patrick, Barkley spoke candidly about Michael Jordan:
“I did not think Michael Jordan was better than me until he beat me in the Finals… I thought Michael Jordan was a better player than me. That’s the only player I ever played against I thought was better than me,” he said on the show.
Michael Jordan, who won six championships, finished his career averaging 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game, with a 49.7% field goal percentage and 32.7% from three, across 1,072 games.
