Royal experts have suggested that Meghan Markle could follow in Prince Harry’s footsteps by penning her memoir.
Meghan Markle is said to want to “share her truth” about being a member of the Royal Family in a new memoir – but one thing is causing her to “hold off” on releasing it anytime soon.
Insiders suggest the Duchess of Sussex is waiting for the perfect moment to release a revealing memoir, one that could bring in millions.
Prince Harry’s Spare, which was released in January 2023, is said to have earned him £20 million, including a hefty advance of around £14 million.
While another tell-all book might spell trouble for the Royal Family, it appears to be an inevitable hurdle they’ll need to confront “sooner rather than later,” according to sources speaking to Closer Online.
Many royal experts believe Meghan will also want to release a tell-all book similar to her husband.
Meghan Markle’s one reason for ‘holding off’ on her version of Spare
A source told the outlet: “The word in publishing circles is that everyone’s mad to land Meghan’s memoirs and the numbers being thrown around are ridiculously high.
“We’re talking tens of millions for her authorised biography – it’s going to get to the point where she can’t say no.
“And love her or hate her, there’s no denying that she has an insight into the royals that no one else can share.”
The insider claimed that Megahn has a “remarkable story”, and it’s just a question of finding the right timing.
Prince Harry and Prince William are not on speaking terms following several claims the Duke of Sussex made against his older brother in his own bombshell memoir, Spare.

But hopes of a reconciliation between the siblings, as well as between the Sussexes and the Royal Family remain, with the insider suggesting this may be the reason Meghan could be delaying the release of her own book.
They added: “She’s strategically chosen to hold off for the sake of peace, but she absolutely wants to share her truth – and why shouldn’t she, when she’s endured so much?”
Meghan and Harry have spoken about their time as senior members of the Firm in several explosive interviews.
The Duchess previously said of her time in the UK as part of the Royal Family: “I was ashamed to say it at the time. I just didn’t want to be alive anymore. And that was a very real and clear and frightening and constant thought.”
