Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been accused of “trying to rewrite history” with one very sneaky move, it has been claimed.

The couple – who met in mid 2016 – appear to have previously contradicted themselves by sharing they had met via a blind date – although later claiming they had met on Instagram.

Their whirlwind romance then saw them get engaged at the end of 2017. The pair – who have since welcomed two children – tied the knot in a fairytale ceremony in Windsor on May 19, 2018.

The Mail’s diary editor Richard Eden previously spoke of the couple, telling Palace Confidential: “They [Harry and Meghan] really are [trying to rewrite history], I think Meghan is trying to rewrite history.

“There’s one version that was out at the time, and she’s trying to say ‘no, that’s not what happened at all’. And now, this is Mishal Husain saying ‘oh wait a minute, don’t just try to rewrite history like that.'”

The couple have recently come under fire again following the release of Harry’s new Netflix trailer for ‘Polo’, which is set to be released next month.

Netflix published the new two-minute trailer on social media on Thursday. Alongside the trailer, the caption read: “Polo, a behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced and glamorous world of the sport, is coming to Netflix on December 10.

“Follow elite global players on and off the field as they compete in the high-stakes U.S. Open Polo Championship. From executive producers Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

Although the show focuses on one of Harry’s favourite sports, Meghan is noted down as, alongside her husband, a joint executive producer of the show.

Following the release, royal fans have issued one major complaint – stating that it appears to show animal cruelty.

Taking to social media, one fan commented: “This is a celebration of animal cruelty. These aren’t athletes, they are animal abusers”, whilst another wrote, “I shudder to think of the animal rights abuses committed for this sport as well.”

Meghan is also set to release her own yet-unnamed show – one which will “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”. As well as the title, the show’s release date remains unknown.
