On March 3, 2025, a community in Fort Worth was left reeling when local rapper Ronnie “G$ Lil Ronnie” Smith and his 5-year-old daughter, R’Mani Sibley, were murdered. The Slappy’s Express Car Wash attack in Forest Hill, Texas, has been described by police as a targeted attack. In the wake of the tragedy in subsequent days, Lil Ronnie’s girlfriend and mother of R’Mani took to social media in a tearful and unfiltered livestream. They accused fellow Fort Worth rapper Lil CJ Kasino and a man or group known as “Houston” of being masterminds of the murders.
The brazen shooting occurred at around 10:45 a.m. when two males stepped out of a white four-door Kia and started firing at Lil Ronnie and his daughter as they sat in a parked automobile. The victims were both pronounced dead at the scene by arriving police. The suspects are Adonis Robinson and Jakobe Russell of Fort Worth. Robinson is in custody and faces a capital murder charge and Russell is on the loose.
Subsequently, R’Mani’s mother vented in a viral social media video. Crying and indignant, she accused Lil CJ Kasino and “Houston” of masterminding what she termed a “paid hit” on both her daughter and boyfriend.
“That is a paid hit on my baby and my nigga… fuck Lil CJ Kasino and fuck Houston,”
She delivered that statement in a voice that held both a mother’s and a partner’s anguish. Her charges have sparked rampant speculation and introduced a theatrical twist into a tragic narrative. Lil CJ Kasino is a rapper and associate of Lil Ronnie who is a Fort Worth-born artist who was born in 1997. The two rappers teamed up on “6 Pick” and “Hfgg Vision,” merging their talents to bring their city’s music.
There is a twist in a four-month-old video dated before the shooting where Kasino is said to have warned Lil Ronnie about the car wash. This has generated speculation that Kasino had inside information on the threat or that he had a hand in it, though no evidence has been presented to support that.
